I used to connect to a remote computer via AnyDesk like no problem. Now it gives me a win32 10060 error. How do I fix it? I’m on Windows 10, btw.
The message you specified appears when the remote computer cannot connect to the server. In those cases AnyDesk displays a “status: win32 10060” or 10061 error.

If a failure occurs, the user of the remote PC must check whether their device is connected to the Internet, and whether the router is working correctly. If a connection failure was detected, you need to fix it yourself or contact the provider.

If the Internet connection is stable, the Windows Firewall may have blocked the connection. To disable firewall protection, go to “Windows security”. To do so, either type “Windows defender” in the Windows search bar:

or click Start – Settings – Update & security – Windows security – Open Windows security.

Now select Virus & threat protection and turn of Microsoft Defender periodic scanning.

When Microsoft’s built-in protection is deactivated, the computer becomes more vulnerable to Internet threats. Disabling the firewall is recommended only if an antivirus with its own firewall is installed on the computer.

Sometimes a virus becomes the cause of connection failures. Check all sections of the remote computer with an antivirus, delete suspicious files found and try to create a connection again.

For a PC with a static IP, there is another solution: configuring direct connections. Open AnyDesk settings, select Connections and check the Allow direct connections box.

Now return to the home screen, enter the remote address and click Connect.
