It can be used for holding online meetings (conferences, presentations), providing technical support and maintenance (including machines with no operator on the other end), or monitoring your employees work PCs.

Ask a question
How is TeamViewer Portable different from TeamViewer?
Functionality-wise there’s no difference, since the portable version has all the functions of a regular TeamViewer. However, the portable version does not require installation and can be run from a flash drive or any other drive.
What is TeamViewer QuickSupport?
Like the Portable version, QuickSupport also does not require installation. The difference is that QS works only in one direction: you can receive remote support through it, but you cannot provide it. QuickSupport gives the support technician access and control over the device to quickly resolve technical issues.
What is TeamViewer QuickJoin?
TeamViewer QuickJoin is a module that does not require installation and runs from a separate .exe file. It allows you to join an online presentation or meeting. Note that you can’t start new meetings with QJ, for that you’ll need a regular TeamViewer.
What is TeamViewer Host?
This version is designed for 24/7 monitoring, maintenance and support of connected devices. It can be installed on an unlimited number of computers and mobile gadgets. It runs in the background as a system service, turning on even before a user logs in Windows. Also, like QuickSupport, it works in one direction.
What is better to download?
Depends on your purposes. For continuous use, especially on a large number of machines, TeamViewer Host is optimal. It is indispensable when working with stand-alone devices, which are not constantly sat by the operator, who can manually start the program. For occasional or non-commercial use, the regular TeamViewer is fine. To get technical support, a truncated version is enough - QuickSupport. For work on trips or calling from someone else's PC - choose TeamViewer Portable. And for participating in online meetings (conferences, presentations, etc) QuickJoin is suitable.

Final Grade
Price
TeamViewer is noticeably more expensive than some of its competitors (AeroAdmin, Show My PC, etc.), but has a free version, which eliminates this drawback.
OS Compatibility
The program supports most platforms, while many analogues (Zoho Assist, Techinline, Windows 365) are limited to only one.
Safety
All communications via TeamViewer are protected by end-to-end encryption, but there is no backup. The mobile version has biometric protection.
Functionality
In terms of functionality, TeamViewer is a complex product and, in addition to remote access, offers a whole range of communication services (web conferencing, VoIP communication, call recording), which many analogues lack. Compared to other complex or highly specialized products, TeamViewer can lose in the details: there are no built-in notes and a drawing mode. But in big and important things - such as two-way screen sharing or support for multiple monitors – it always wins.
Result
8.8
It is very clear that TeamViewer is a top product in its class, outperforming the competition in both the number of features and their quality.
