On computers running Linux, remote access programs conflict with the RealVNC server. If the mouse does not work in TeamViewer, disconnect the RealVNC server, then reconnect to the remote computer.
On computers running Windows, the issue might occur when playing games. TeamViewer is not meant for playing graphics-intensive games. When the program performance drops, the screen goes black without a cursor.
Sometimes the mouse does not work due to TeamViewer settings. To change the configuration settings, open the Menu, then go to “Extras” – “Options”.
In the “Remote control” section, check the “Show your partner’s cursor” box.
After that, proceed to the “Advanced” section and click “Show advanced options”. Scroll down to “Advanced network settings” and untick the “Use UDP (recommended)” box.
If the previous tips do not help, you are most likely using an outdated or corrupted version of TeamViewer. Uninstall the program, then download the new version from the official website. To update TeamViewer, open the Menu and click “Check for new version”.
If there is a fresh version available, click Update.
